God is looking for intercessors. Those who will stand and pray. Those who will stand in the gap and build a wall (Ezekiel 22:30). In this new year of 2009, God is ready to move in Birmingham, Alabama. Who will stand for His heart? Who will partner with Jesus in intercession for LIFE?

I had the blessing of speaking to Lou Engle this past week. I asked him to pray for me and our Birmingham chapter of Bound4Life as we begin this new year. This being a new transition (Michael and Tammy Ledlow handing off the chaptership to a younger, less experienced servant) – I was so thankful that the Lord would orchestrate me meeting Lou Engle, let alone that God would have him pray for us! He prayed Ezekiel 4 and Luke 18 over us- read it, meditate on it, write it on your hearts! These chapters explain why we are strategically standing together and praying over and over for this very real reality of ending abortion in our city and America! He prayed that healing would come to our city. He prayed the Lord give us grace in prayer- that it would become a 24/7 lifestyle and not just a prayer meeting. He prayed grace over us in fasting, as well! So many other things Lou Engle prayed but I will share more as we come together for the meetings.

I look forward to standing with my brothers and sisters forming this righteous wall of intercession. Setting our faces against abortion and sieging our city in silent prayer! What an honor to say YES to His heart and really do it!

We will begin this year with a prayer meeting. But I want to end the year in a praying lifestyle- for His heart and His justice for His children and the healing of His land. I want us to claim Birmingham, Alabama as a pocket of mercy where LIFE springs forth in His name! Let’s start our Martin Luther King movement to end abortion. And in His grace, let’s begin now!
